Sibsagar Commerce College organized an awareness programme on Vulture Conservation among youth in collaboration with Aranyak (a nature conservation NGO) and the Bombay Natural History Society (BNHS). Experts highlighted the global decline of vultures, associated threats, and its impact on mankind. Notably, Sivasagar has been identified as a key hotspot, supporting a significant population of the endangered Slender-billed Vulture, with nearly 800 individuals reported worldwide.
